PERSONAL OPINION! Why I think Microsoft is going down. OS Wise

Microsoft Windows is a very well known product. Especially here in India. Layman opinion is that if you don't know about Windows, you don't belong to this time. Many of us do not know that Microsoft came out in the market a long time after the Computers came into existence and that 'Computer' does not mean 'Windows' (which is displayed as soon as power switch is turned on...)

How did Windows reach this respect level so far away from where it was originally launched(US, was it?)?!
I must say... even "DO I NEED TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION??!!" seems a bit self imposed answer. Everyone knows why they like Windows. Every Newer version of its product brings out such a pleasure in using with at least something new in each phase as the product unfurls. You cant say that its only the design that got you. Because once you start exploring the product, you just cant stop praising even the way in which company covered in an error with amazing designs, graphics and visuals.

However, what i wanted to tell you was why "I" think Windows is deaccelerating its popularity. I do not mean to comment on why It is losing its performance or sales or power of taking the best decisions or whatever else. It all starts with XP. Earlier products were popular too. With the project 'Interface Manager' Microsoft started writing the story 'Windows' through which it brought out windows 1.0 which was not a complete OS itself but "The shell of Windows 1.0 is a program known as the MS-DOS Executive." as Wiki-Baba says. Win95 was released in 1995 yet its START button and its positioning is so famous that windows had to face many angry reviews after it removed it in windows 8 and so we're back with a new design of Start button but at the same place! YAY!!

Yet XP brought it all up. While talking about Windows' popularity here in India, I might have missed to point out that XP is enjoying most of that popularity. Even though 7 has tried to take many of those PCs over from XP but I know you'll agree with me that the path is Long. As personal computers are spreading to more homes; and Institutes; and companies; and Villages; and wHaTsOeVeRbLiNgBlInGg... Even many new computers are installed with our 13 year old XP. Nyways, Old is Gold! and I am again shifting from the main point of our discussion and don't hit me with that Pillow but heregoes:

Vista was a nice windows! No matter what you say, Vista was supposed to be a BLAST as microsoft people were working to keep their XP(Experience[d]) head held high and hold on the legacy. As you use  Vista you feel you are using Windows 7 but with a different theme because windows 7(even though it was a completely different Operating system) is almost grown up Windows Vista which was groomed somewhat more and taught to respect other applications and hardware and not confuse users with its own problems. So the Change you see in Windows 7 and XP is all thanks to Vista. It was loaded with features. I don't mean to set aside the new features that 7 brought up which had nothing to do with Vista but you know its just RESEARCHINMOTION (so sorry BB)

But Vista only daintied some part of Windows' Image. Everything is changing, and by changing I mean change is accelerating(FAST)!! With competitors increasing and every competitor jumping to fast to grab his market, they are all throwing out new technologies like 30mints Pizza; microsoft's main power is facing an eclipse. I mean the main power of Microsoft as it seems is taking some time and then Coming out with a BANG!! but now the are made to give out in a month what they used to give out in a year. Which is why they are rushing it on with operating systems full of errors to keep themselves in the market. The problem does not end here. If everything is accelerating then, future seems darker for windows if they don't catch up. However you see the point, Other operating systems are fast in throwing out new features. However they are not facing so much challenge. Once microsoft learns to fight its problems better, its gonna catch up. But will it?
